Aldo Santiago

Aldo Santiago is our tennis coach and pro.  He has been with the Farmington Field Club every summer for 10 years.  In addition to teaching tennis to children and adults, he and his FFC staff help run the Annual Children’s Classic Tennis Tournament. 

When the tennis season is over at the Field Club, Aldo will head back to his position as head coach of the Mount Holyoke College tennis team.  One of the top coaches in the northeast, he has posted an overall record of 153-193-1.

In addition to his duties as tennis coach at Mount Holyoke, Aldo also serves as Physical Education Curriculum Coordinator and teaches all levels of tennis and squash.

His accomplishments at Mount Holyoke include:

·      Mentoring a pair of nationally ranked players, a NEWMAC Player of the Year, and three NEWMAC Rookies of the Year.

·      Achieving All-Conference recognition, and a Seven Sisters Championship.

·      Coaching seven consecutive winning seasons.

·      Being ITA Northeast Region Coach of the Year.


Prior to joining Mt. Holyoke, Aldo served as an assistant coach for the men's tennis team at The Ohio State University. He helped lead the Buckeyes to a Big Ten Championship in 1991.  In 1986, Aldo was an assistant coach for women's tennis team at Ohio University.

Once ranked among the top five amateur players in Puerto Rico, Aldo played tennis for four years at the University of Puerto Rico and was named Most Valuable Player in his senior season. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in physical education from Puerto Rico and his Master of Science degree in physical education from Ohio State.
